“My biggest challenge before Metabolic Typing was not really understanding what I’m supposed to eat. I finally decided that I don’t really know what I’m doing, and I need someone who lives this every day. Through this program, it was the first time I ever really understood what I am eating. Low fat snacks were not the answer. I’m no longer “Living To Eat”, I’m “Eating To Live.” When I go to grab some food, I’m actually asking myself, “Do I really need this?” It makes you question, “Am I eating mindlessly, or am I eating mindfully and really paying attention to what I’m eating?” And this stops you from overeating. I feel like I’m not a slave to the food anymore, it’s the other way around… the food is actually serving me now. It’s allowing me to function better in my day. It’s the first time in my whole life I’ve felt like this… I just wish I knew this when I was 20.
But it’s not just about what to eat, but also how to eat it. It’s actually kind of fun now putting the meals together, because it’s no longer just gobble up everything on your plate, you are actually investing yourself in your meal.
